    FRESH@4 is a service that is never the same from one month to the next! 

    It began after a request from the community in Tredunnock for something that was good for those beginning to explore faith, inclusive and accessible. As a result we take a fresh look at some aspect of faith, church, or something else, in the context of what Christian teaching can offer us.

    We sing well known songs, listen to bible readings, and have an activity and prayers based on the theme. We might have a discussion, a quiz, games, craft; it varies from month to month. 
    At the end of each FRESH@4, the congregation chooses the topic they would like to take a fresh look at next.

    This service is followed by refreshments. 

    Everyone is welcome from across the whole Ministry Area, and every age of person will find something about the service that suits them.

  • WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
    6 March 2026

    Early in the morning Christians begin praying for their world, as the earth rotates, a great wave of prayer begins to build across the Pacific, rolling through Asia, the countries of Africa and the Middle East.
    The wave reaches Europe as the day dawns and it rolls across the Atlantic towards the Caribbean and all the Americas and on to the Pacific again, until it finally sets over American Samoa where the final service takes place.

    The worldwide circle of prayer is complete.

    Mother's Union is the largest Christian Charity in the world, and Raglan is the only branch of Mother's Union in our Diocese. Our aim is to provide love and support to families in need in whatever way we can. Some examples include; 

    1. supporting a contact centre where on neutral ground separated parents can meet their children,
    2. attending the chapel in Usk Prison, supporting families and inmates in their worship, 
    3. providing toiletries and other items for those admitted to hospital in an emergency.
    4. arranging holidays for those who have a need through our ‘Away From It All’ holiday scheme. 

    The Raglan Mothers Union group meets once per month. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come to a meeting. Please get in touch with Sue Russell on 01291 690380 if you are interested in coming along.

    Raglan Ladies Group meets on the 3rd Thursday every month (except August) in St Cadoc's Church at 7.30pm. This is a social group with around 30 current members, but new members are always very welcome. We'd love you to join us!

    Subscription to the group is £15 per year. The group has speakers, raffles and social outings.
